Do you ever feel second rate to others? Are you struggling to be seen or just don't want to put yourself out there? Do you find you frequently compare yourself to others and question if you're good enough? Do you lack the confidence to say what you really mean? Perhaps life has dealt you some harsh experiences?
Very few people go through life without some niggling thoughts of self-doubt creeping in at some point but left unattended these can start to grow and sabotage any good intentions and efforts to the contrary. Generally these unsupportive or limiting thoughts about ourselves have built up over time and we've collected them from various experiences we've had. This can lead us to think that these thoughts are set in stone so they must be true and we often consider them to be rules we feel we need to follow in life..... but this is where we mislead ourselves. Beliefs aren't rules we have to abide by. In fact very often beliefs are not even our own, they're merely assumptions or inferences made by others that we've never questioned, just ones we've absorbed from childhood and taken them in like facts that need to be carried around with us forever more into our adulthood.
The good news is that beliefs can be changed and challenged as to whether they do still hold true for us and who we are.
Maybe you need to find your confidence with public speaking, are nervous about a new job or meeting new people; lack the assertiveness to deal with conflict, find it hard to speak to people or feel vulnerable being you. Perhaps you've found yourself experiencing imposter syndrome or worrying about an interview, exam or driving test.
